Description

Join us October 14th - 16th in Bridgton, Maine for a weekend full of canoeing, kayaking, games, nature, socializing, hiking, ping pong, star gazing, smores, relaxing, fall colors, chatting, and exploring!

Christian Science adults and friends in their 20s and 30s are invited.

We will have a large vacation home to ourselves on Pleasant Mountain, near Moose Pond. On Saturday, you have a choice of going canoeing/kayaking on the lake, walking/hiking around the area, and/or simply relaxing at the house.

Our spiritual theme for the weekend is "True Freedom". AJ Kiser will be our practitioner for the weekend, and we'll be exploring spiritual ideas about freedom and progress. As Paul states, "...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." - II Cor 3:17

Organized by

I have  been involved with DiscoveryBound "young adult" events for many years. I've participated on the board of the Bay Area Affinity Group since 2010, and when I moved to Boston this year, I helped establish the New England Affinity Group. Both of these groups organize events for Christian Scientists and friends in their 20s and 30s.

Back in 2012, Lindsay and John Biggs organized the first young adult regional event on the west coast. Since that first event, there have been a total of 7 western regional events, and I've been fortunate enough to attend 5 of them. I do my best to attend every one, since they are always uplifting, refreshing, and fun!

This event is now the first regional event on the east coast. I'm glad these awesome events are coming to the other half of the United States!
